La Finca’s Patricia, what a beautiful Banner winning female!
Her grandsire, Peruvian Hemingway, made the most profound impact upon improving the overall quality of the alpaca outside of South America. Hemingway arrived in the U.S. in the 1993 Peruvian importation out of the Royal Allianza herd in Peru. The offspring of the Hemingway bloodline have been the most successful of any herdsire in the show ring in the United States, Canada, and Australia. At 14 years of age, Hemingway still retained a 23 micron fleece, 16% CV, and crimp to boot. Truly a legend!
Her other grandsire, PCA Accoyo El Nino, was considered one of PPeruvian Caligula’s best offspring! El Nino was described by a prominent judge as “the perfect alpaca”. He was the 2004 AOBA Get of Sire winner and was the 2005 Light Futurity Herdsire of the Year!
Notable genetics also include the following: PPPeruvian Cahuide, PPPeruvian Sunipani, & PPPeruvian Chincha.
